North Carolina disability determination examiners sent $790 to affected fellow examiners in Oklahoma following two outbreaks of tornadoes in May that devastated parts of the state.
According to Michelle Higgins the Tar Heel Association of Disability Examiners (THADE) worked through a sister organization in Oklahoma to channel the funds toward DDS professionals whose homes were damaged or destroyed in the May 20 and May 31 tornadoes. It went to the “families identified with the greatest need,” Higgins said.
