Sec. Aldona Wos and key leadership team members met Sept. 25 with directors of state operated facilities at Camp Eason, a therapeutic retreat on Lake Butner operated by the Murdoch Center. Also among leadership staff were Mark Gogal, Human Resources director; Chief Financial Officer Rod Davis; David Oglesby, grants, contracts and compliance officer; Adam Scholar, director of intergovernmental relations; and Luckey Welsh, director of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities. In her remarks Secretary Wos stressed the value of teamwork and communication and shared with directors that steps have been taken to increase flexibility to hire health care professionals. This should help reduce turnover and help maintain high functioning staff and save money in the long run, she said.
