Black Mountain Center holds reunion

Families from across North Carolina converged on Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center on Sept. 28 for a reunion with family members amid the colorful fall foliage.

Lisa Moon, a team leader at the facility, writes that staff often receives thanks and compliments while the families are in town visiting to enjoy time, food and fun with their loved ones.

Here are some of the messages Lisa collected to share:

  • An 87-year-old mother expressed through tears that she could now sleep at night knowing that her daughter was well cared for.
  • As a brother was leaving after the festivities, he said, “I am so impressed every time I come; there is some magic here. I just don’t know how you do this. This is not just a job for your staff, it is a calling.”
  • A brother-in-law shared: "This is some kind of operation! …This place has it all figured out.“
  • A daughter who said she was thrilled with the care, the activities and the attitudes of staff said, "We need to get the word out about this place. I have never seen anything quite like this.”

Many thanks and congratulations to all of the staff at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center whose unwavering dedication is evident to those who matter the most!
